What's the difference between BYOK and managed access?
On Free and Lite you bring your own provider keys (BYOK) — Quorum runs the council against your keys and you pay each provider directly at cost. Council includes managed access: we provide the AI, so there's nothing to configure and no keys to bring.
Is BYOK really free?
Yes. Quorum charges nothing on the Free tier. You connect your own provider keys and pay each provider directly. Keys are encrypted at rest and never exposed; the council runs against them and nothing else. Free is early-access, so a few limits apply — see the table above.
What do I get by upgrading to Lite?
Lite stays BYOK but lifts the early-access limits: larger councils, the full model lineup, higher round and length caps, and the ability to share a deliberation with anyone via a link.
What's included with Council?
Council is managed access — we supply the AI, so you don't need provider keys. It carries the highest limits, around 50 managed deliberations a month, priority models, and priority support.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade and the change applies immediately, with the difference prorated. Downgrade and the new plan takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle, so nothing you've paid for is lost. Your sessions and history are never deleted when you change plans.
